Personality:

She's a bit hesitant at times she feels insecure about herself, but never when playing professionally with an audience. She's very serious about her work and it makes her look more cold and reserved like a frosty ice queen. She doesn't talk much, which makes it hard for her to make friends. She likes to observe others talking, finding it easier than to talk herself. When you get her to talk about something she's interested in, she will open up at an instance and become more lively.
Sometimes she gets nervous for different things, and turns into a clumsy,air-headed girl.

Backstory:

Akari is a single child who was born in Tokyo but lived in the U.S. Her mother was an american while her father was japanese. They moved to New York right after she was born and then spent most of her time there. Her interest in playing the saxophone started off when her father, a jazz musician taught her how to play the instrument. She was suprised by how it sounded, and she never wanted to let go of the saxophone's melodies. She practiced everyday in order to some day become a musician herself. Because of her ambitious interest in sax she fully forgot about her childhood and didn't play with other children. As she struggled through the frustration of not being able to be a child, she started to close out her emotions and controlled them to be sure that they wouldn't be in the way of her dream. She surrounded herself with adults, her father and other musicians to get more inspired. she got used to being with older people, and didn't mind not having any friends. But her mother was worried. So she sent her to Japan, to enroll in a music school that were students in her age. Even though she thought it would be boring, she decided to go her own way into her career as a saxophonist and went to Hoshino Gakuen.
